Mosquitos are a common nuisance and disease spreading insect. In addition to being vectors of disease, one of the main reasons we want to tackle this pest is to allow people to enjoy outdoor activities more frequently – e.g., eating outside, spending time with family, and watching outdoor sporting events. The waterborne resin has no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Airable has investigated the soy dispersion as a coating and is exploring other applications such as adhesives, sealants, and elastomers. |

The research group "Multisensorial analysis and recognition" from Alcalá University has developed different technologies: a walker, a wheelchair for children of early age, a multisensory cabin and a spoon, to improve the lifes of people with certain motor affections. These inventions are part of the "Padrino Tecnológico Program", which has been designed by the research group itself, to raise funds for the development and adaptation of technical aids that cover the needs detected in people with low personal autonomy. A new system for the assessment of the tear film quality and the diagnosis of dry-eye has been developed. Based on a non-invasive recording of images of the light reflected on the tear-film of the eye, posterior image processing allows the objective assessment of dry-eye. It’s a simple and cost-effective system easy to use in clinics. |
